Over 3,500 global startups submitted applications to the three-month-long competition. Steer then advanced into the Top 150 startups in the semi-finals in October.
After three months of intense competition, Steer was named one of the Top 15 finalists and was the only representative from the Philippines. On November 11, the X-PITCH Grand Finals took place where Steer co-founder and CEO Arup Maity presented the final pitch in front of a live panel of judges from the international tech community.

“The construction industry is one of the biggest industries in the world, but one of the least digitized. A lot of the business challenges can be easily solved by going digital, and we created Steer to solve these challenges,” shares Arup Maity.
Steer is a field management software for construction companies, connecting on-site teams with head office teams. Its flagship solution for Site Materials Management keeps the project foreman, managers at the head office, and the site materials supervisor on the same page. This cuts down wastage and leads to a greener and more profitable construction business.

Aside from receiving a top award in X-Pitch 2021, Steer is also part of other programs where the team is collaborating with some of the country’s top tech and telco companies to bring cutting-edge solutions to the market.
“Steer is certainly among the most promising startups in the country. Their commitment to digitalize the construction industry has been recognized by leading startup development programs in the country, such as the MicrosoftQBO AQELERATION B2B Program and the PLDT Smart Startup Innovation Challenge" shares Alwyn Rosel, Head of Startup Development, QBO Innovation Hub.
While Steer is digitizing the construction industry, the company behind it is also helping other industries go digital through its no-code platform, QuickReach. With customers across 3 countries, QuickReach empowers people with no coding skills to easily build software in a matter of hours.
In a bid to help the construction industry thrive in the digital era, Steer is also holding a free online webinar called “Doubling Profits in Construction by Going Digital” on December 3, 2021 at 3-4PM (PHT). To know more about Steer and to register for the webinar, click HERE.
